Where the guests "resort" to murder!

Lights, Camera, Murder - by Jacqueline Heinze
On a dark and stormy night, a madman escapes from a local asylum. He soon emerges, scythe in hand, from a cornfield and stumbles upon an abandoned lodge. Will the group of friends stranded inside make it out alive? And if so, will all of their limbs still be attached? So goes the plot of the low-budget horror film Meadow Lodge Massacre, shot on location at Allenberry.

But during this last weekend of filming, what happens in front of the camera won’t be nearly as chilling as what happens behind it. When the director yells, “Cut!” someone might just take him literally. Who’s behind this frightful mess? The director? The big shot investor? The wannabe starlet? Has the special effects guy gone too far?

As investors in the film, you’re invited to step behind the scenes, mingle with the stars, and even play a part in the movie. But whether you want to awaken your inner-actor or simply watch as the suspense unfolds, you’re guaranteed both spine-tingling thrills and a shockingly good time. It’s going to be a scream!

Arrive on location Friday night, check into your lodging (hope that the madman’s not there too), and enjoy an entire weekend of wine, dining, drama, dance, music, mystery—and murder. Solve the crime at brunch on Sunday, and then return home safe and sound.

by Jacqueline Heinze

We cordially invite you to our 57 acre Country Estate where old-fashioned fun abounds when Allenberry presents a memorable weekend of warm-hearted hospitality and cold-blooded murderous mayhem.

The suspense begins upon arrival, with professional actors from Allenberry mingling incognito with the guests. As the weekend progresses, the diabolical plot thickens. Shameful secrets, suspects and motives emerge; corpses crop up unexpectedly; ominous red herrings confound; and no one is above suspicion.

The guest who collects the clues and solves the mystery will win a grand prize.

I invite you to join us at Allenberry Resort Inn for a hysterical weekend of deadly dining, musical mayhem and perilous partying and nervous nights. An event so filled with delicious surprises, it would surely be a crime to miss it. It's a crime what you get with some weekend packages. Especially ours!

SINcerely,
Jere Heinze
Innkeeper
